Band Rollers

Last week Liz, who is in Orkney for the Science Festival, came to show us how to make a band roller.  She explained how to conduct a fair test to find out what makes the best band roller.  You can only change one thing: the wheels, the length of wood or the number of bands.  We designed our own wheels and used a small saw to chop up the wood.  Everyone helped the people in their group with the tricky bits. 

 

 

In the afternoon we raced our band rollers to see which design was best.
