Working together to find out about Viking Longships...

 

Because people said they liked working with a partner, we worked in pairs to find out what longships were like.  We watched video clips and used BBC Primary History to find out information and then learned how to put it in a mind-map.  We had to watch and listen carefully and make our own notes using key words.  We also had to think about which sources we could trust.  We used the information to make a realistic and colourful drawing of a longship.  Fact boxes contained at least 2 pieces of information about 'The Boat,' 'The Sail,' 'Eating,' 'Sleeping,' and 'Finding the Way.'  Everyone worked really well with their partner and the finished products look fantastic.
