Electricity at SPS

 

This term our topic is called Planet Protectors.  We are going to be learning about:

where electricity comes from

how to make an electrical circuit

the different types of renewable energies

how we can live in a more eco-friendly way

So far we know that electricity can be made by burning fossil fuels at a power station.  The electricity travels through cables all around the UK.  Mr Cursiter took us to see the room where the cable that provides the school with electricity arrives! 
 



 The cable is really thick because the school needs loads of electricity!

 Someone wondered what these cables are.  They are earth cables that put power into the ground.
